Original labels badly damaged - sold with plain labels .
The Mackenzie 1963 Vintage Port has an excellent provenance - removed from a damp cellar which has degraded the labels. We will send the bottles out with plan labels unless requested otherwise.
Tasting note (courtesy of the Port Forum). Mid-red with a copper edge; 40% opaque, Smelly nose, not attractive and showing considerable heat. Thick in texture with rich chocolate tannins supporting a sweet and concentrated red jelly bean flavour giving a lovely palate presence. The jelly bean comes through on the aftertaste and leads to an attractive length finish that is full of sharp dried cranberries.

Vintage Port MAGNUM
From the outstanding 1963 vintage. This port is a beautiful pale red with distinct bricking. Tropical fruits on the nose, with fresh mint clearly showing. Sweet brown sugar impact; hot mid-palate and a sweet late palate full of stewed plums. Big levels of acidity. Very hot aftertaste. Gentle finish of dry espresso, very long and with plums.
Reviews "Bright and vibrant appearance. Superb dried fruit and nut nose - christmas cakey, with really good concentrated spicy black fruit streak with tar. Good fruit on attack - concentrated and remarkably fresh. Very smooth and rich. Very classy indeed.
