Vintage Port
The 1963 Gonzalas Byas Vintage Port from the legendary 1963 Vintage is from a good cellar and has excellent provenance. The company is more famous for its sherry but started selling port in the early 1900's. The main quinta was Quinta do Sabordella and was the sole purchaser of wines from Quinta do Roriz in the early 20th century (then owned by the Van Zellar family). The brand disappeared when it was acquired by Sandeman now part of Sogrape.

Vintage Port (Peatling and Cawdron Bottling)
Lovely nose, lots of luscious Victoria plums. Medium bodied impact, full of flavours dominated by fruit but with lots of tannin in the palate. Generous fragrance on the palate which leads through to the aftertaste and very long finish. This is very fine port. 93/100. Alex Bridgeman, The Port Forum tasted 2013.

Vintage Port (Unlabelled branded capsules)
An outstanding 1963 Port scoring 96/100 Parker Points.
Reviews: "What a stunning 1963 vintage port this is! The bouquet draws you in, does not drag you in with its alcohol and reveals a fresh, well defined nose with a nutty edge, hints of cigar box and allspice. The palate is beautifully balanced, understated on the entry but building all the time, flashes of eucalyptus leading towards a more extrovert, clove tinged finish that hangs around the palate. Gorgeous Grahams! Tasted May 2009." Neil Martin, Wine Journal
